Therapeutic Massage
Various massage techniques are used to break up adhesions, mobilize scar tissue, increase circulation and increase joint mobility by relaxing muscle tissue, taking tension of tendons ligaments and nerves. This style tends to be slower and more focused working from insertion to origin of muscles. Various modalities such as soft tissue manipulation, joint immobilization, functional stretching, and hot and cold therapy are used (45, 60, 90, and 120 minute appointments are available). The intent of this style of work focuses on enabling the client to feel physical change in their bodies. Massage can be focused or full body.
Sports Massage
Sports massage involves a variety of techniques that elongate muscles, break down adhesions, and take pressure off ligaments and tendons restricted by tight muscles. This style of massage is geared towards athletes who want to perform at their peak. This massage can be used as a pre-event warm up (or in preparation for an event), or it can be used post event to help aid in a quicker recovery time ( 45, 60, 90, and 120 minute appointments are available).
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue tends to be slower, deeper and more specific. A variety of therapeutic modalities are used to break down trigger points and adhesions in the muscle tissue. This service is great for people who love deep pressure and who are looking to feel physical change in their bodies. This service can be focused or full body.
